Job Description

About the Role

As a Disability Support Worker based at Murray Bridge, you’ll support and deliver personal care to clients of all ages.

  • Delivering tailored support to individuals with low to high-level needs
  • Assisting with daily living activities such as personal care, medication, cooking, cleaning, appointments, and recreational outings
  • Encouraging positive routines and behaviours in a respectful and flexible manner.
  • Monitoring and supporting individual program plans and report outcomes
  • Safely assisting with mobility and physical support needs
  • Shifts will include 24/7 supports, predominantly SIL and Individualised SupportWe are seeking applicants who have flexible availability for a variety shifts over a 24/7 roster, including passive night shifts

We’re looking for someone who brings:

  • Experience and commitment to encouraging and facilitating participating in activities of daily living
  • Strong understanding and commitment to person-centred care
  • Demonstrated experience supporting individuals with high intensity support needs 
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and customer service skills
  • Confident using client management systems and maintaining accurate records
  • Experience with behaviour support strategies and health needs and the ability to adapt supports to clients needs
  • Commitment to privacy, confidentiality, and professional boundaries
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Education and Qualifications

  • Minimum Certificate III in Disability or equivalent
  • A current driver’s license (minimum P2 required)
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Willingness to complete all mandatory training requirements
  • Knowledge of National Disability Standards and safeguarding practices

We’re serious about safeguarding our clients. If you don’t have a current NDIS Worker Check and SA Working with Children Check, we’ll let you know how to obtain these prior to starting work with us.
