HIPPY (Home Interaction Program for Parents and Youngsters) is an early childhood enrichment and parenting program for children and their parents/carers. The program runs over a two-year period. Children begin the program 2 years before formal schooling and complete the program at the end of Kindy.

Through regular home visiting and group sessions, parents are provided with the materials and support by Home Tutors that allow them to further develop their skills and confidence to better help their children prepare for a successful start at school.

We are looking for team members who can demonstrate the following:

  • Passion, excitement and a fun attitude towards delivering HIPPY programs in the Northern suburbs community

  • Interest and enthusiasm in supporting other families
  • Ability to relate to people from a range of cultural and language backgrounds from within the local community
  • Basic literacy in English including reading and writing and numeracy
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good organisational skills

  • A current drivers licence and own car
  • Ability to pass DHS Working With Children & NDIS Check and a National Police Check
  • Willingness to commit and participate in training in relation to the program
  • Second language shared by families in the HIPPY program (desirable only)
  • Applicants are limited to members of families who have participated in and completed the HIPPY program

Why join Novita?

  • Grow professionally through ongoing training, mentoring, and development
  • Build community connections and foster leadership within your local area
