Novita provides early intervention, rehabilitation, therapy, assistive technology and disability services to more than 6,000 people living with disability, as well as support for their families and carers. Our primary purpose is to enable kids, young people and adults living with disability and their families to participate in the community to their full potential. 

Are you highly organised, detail-oriented, and confident with Excel? We are seeking a Purchasing Officer to join our dynamic team at our Hindmarsh Retail Store on a part-time (0.5) basis. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working with data, systems, and suppliers to support the delivery of life-changing assistive technology.

About the Role

Reporting to the Team Leader - Logistics and Purchasing, you’ll play a key role in maintaining accurate product data, managing inventory, and supporting procurement processes that directly impact our purpose. This position blends technical ERP expertise with a commitment to continuous improvement in a purpose-driven environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintain and update product records in Microsoft Business Central, ensuring data accuracy
  • Transform supplier data into ERP-compatible formats using advanced Excel skills
  • Review MRP requirements and generate timely purchase orders for inventory replenishment and business needs
  • Support process improvement initiatives within the Purchasing Team
  • Collaborate across departments to ensure compliance with purchasing policies and WHS standards

Desired Skills and Experience

What you’ll bring

  • Experience with ERP Purchasing software and Advanced Excel skills including Vlookup
  • Experience with SharePoint lists and reporting using Microsoft Power BI will be highly regarded
  • Attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills
  • Strong commitment to Customer Service
  • Ability to communicate clearly and confidently with all external and internal stakeholders
  • Ability to work with limited direction

Remuneration Package and Benefits

Total remuneration package includes base salary, annual leave loading and statutory superannuation contribution. Enjoy salary packaging up to $15,900 of your salary, increasing your take-home pay by approximately $5,000. Further salary-packaging benefits available include meal and entertainment expenses, accommodation and venue hire, private novated leasing and additional superannuation contributions.
