About the Role

Are you an experienced WHS professional ready to make a significant impact? Join Novita as our Work Health & Safety Lead! You will drive the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of our WHS systems, policies, and programs. Operating with autonomy, you will provide expert WHS advice, support, and training across all business functions and sites, fostering a proactive and compliant safety culture. This includes:

 

  • Designing, implementing, and evaluating WHS Management Systems, while developing and maintaining WHS policies, procedures, SWMS, and SOPs.
  • Providing strategic WHS advice and coaching to managers and staff, delivering high-level WHS performance reports, and leading WHS Committee activities to promote a proactive safety culture.
  • Ensuring compliance with WHS obligations by conducting audits, leading incident investigations, and liaising with regulatory bodies.
  • Identifying WHS training needs, developing and delivering workshops, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Desired Skills and Experience

The successful candidate will possess the following:

  • A tertiary qualification in WHS, Occupational Health and Safety, Risk Management, or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years’ experience in a WHS advisory role, with strong knowledge of WHS legislation, and experience in developing WHS systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, coupled with experience in WHS reporting and data analysis.
  • Project management experience in WHS initiatives.

Remuneration Package and Benefits

Total remuneration package includes base salary, annual leave loading and statutory superannuation contribution. Enjoy salary packaging up to $15,900 of your salary, increasing your take-home pay by approximately $5,000. Further salary-packaging benefits available include meal and entertainment expenses, accommodation and venue hire, private novated leasing and additional superannuation contributions.
