About the Role

As an HR Advisor, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing advice and support to managers on day-to-day Human Resources issues.  
  • Partnering with leaders to manage underperformance and misconduct, including investigations and improvement plans.  
  • Providing guidance on employment laws, awards, agreements, and company policies and procedures.  
  • Assisting managers in conducting employee investigations, ensuring fairness and due process.  
  • Collaborating on incident management and facilitate the return-to-work processes.  
  • Partnering with managers in the recruitment and selection of new staff.  
  • Supporting the growth of Human Resources team members through knowledge sharing and collaboration.  
  • Fostering cooperation and understanding across business units.  
  • Contributing to a positive, continuously improving, and safe work environment.  
  • Contributing to the development, implementation, and monitoring of HR policies and procedures.  
  • Assisting in ensuring the organisation's compliance with workplace-related laws.  
  • Maintaining HRIS records and seek opportunities for improvement.  

Desired Skills and Experience

You will be required to have:

  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline (such as human resources/business/psychology) or equivalent experience.  
  • Experience as an HR generalist
  • Experience interpreting awards and enterprise agreements.  
  • Strong knowledge of HR practices and legislation.  
  • A ‘can-do’ attitude, integrity, self-awareness, and empathy.  
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and relationship-building skills.  
  • Strong problem-solving, planning, and project management skills.  
  • The ability to work autonomously and cooperatively.  
  • Commitment to confidentiality, professional standards, and a proactive approach.  

We’re serious about safeguarding our clients. You will be required to hold a current NDIS Worker Check and Working with Children Check prior to commencement. If you don’t have these, we’ll let you know how to obtain one prior to starting work with us.

Remuneration Package and Benefits

The role is classified at the ASO 5 level under the Novita Enterprise Agreement 2024.  

Enjoy salary packaging up to $15,900 of your salary, increasing your take-home pay. Further salary-packaging benefits available include meal and entertainment expenses, accommodation and venue hire, private novated leasing and additional superannuation contributions.
